Smart Phones of today are very powerful thus versatile. They are capable in doing lot of things you cannot even think of, But to utilize those feature you must update yourself to know about new technologies being adopted onto these small devices lately. Using Pen Drive on phone is one of them. Although this feature was introduced in this early decade, it is getting popularity now as this is being implemented to cheaper phones and also made available as a third party application for those phones which doesn’t has this feature in the core operating system.

You must buy OTG cable from the market to use this feature. There are lot of vendors selling them for as low as 2$ (Rs. 100) online. Although branded companies like Sandisk are selling them at higher rates (20$/Rs.1000) you can search for some cheaper ones.

Search on Amazon or Ebay with any of the above keyword to buy one for yourself. This cable has two ends , One end is male micro USB which is connected to your charging port and the other one is a female standard size USB adapter to which you can plug in your flash drive to.
Most of the phones today has this feature in the core operating system if the phone itself. You can always search online to know if your phone supports USB OTG to know it. So just by connecting the hardware you can see the pendrive being detected on your phone as an external device. What is my phone doesn’t support OTG?
If your phone doesn’t support OTG, Don’t worry, you can install external applications to fix this.
Basically for this to work You must have two software, One to mount your OTG connection and the other to browse files on the drive.
As an explorer we prefer using ES File Explorer and to mount it use StickMount.
